Apparently there's a 'version 3' Gristle King being built by TC Jauernig (T. Rex no logner build them). 'Fatter' Phat switch, borader sweep of tone control and more gain on tap....plus some upgrades to the Luxury Drive (really just Luxury Drive v. 2 combined with the latest DGTM version).

Dunno if there'd be any interest here, but I thought I'd spread the word.

Here's Jauernig's site:

That's cool. Tim quit working for Peavey over a year ago and he's living in his hometown in Wisconsin again. I talked to him a few months ago. He emailed me a neat picture of himself and Joe Satriani not long ago. His resume is pretty special.

I've always been interested in the Gristle King, but by the time I seriously considered ordering one, TJ had stopped making them, and I thought T-Rex's price was too high (I still think T-Rex prices are high on all their stuff except the Tonebug series. They do make GOOD stuff, tho.)

So I might have to give this Rev.3 a look... altho I don't need another ORANGE pedal on my board! I already have THREE! How'd that happen? Aren't that many orange pedals out there... :)

I've heard people say the GK is really just a TS with a couple switches, I'd love to hear differently, if anybody has any in-depth user info, please post it.

Burgundy! Buy a KOT! haha.....

Gristle King (Ones that I've head anyway, most likely V2) are thicker and less "Middy" than as TS. Sounds that GK gets out of his teles are way thicker than usual. I generally don't like using as much gain as he does, but how can you argue with someone who plays like that!?
