I've been wondering about those Streamliners since Gretsch released them. Trouble is, I like all of the models! The one you picked is sweet, congrats! That's my favorite, though I have a 339 sized Epi, so if I ever do, I might go for the larger 335 size, though a deeper jazz box style might be awesome too, especially with the Bigsby option.
Must stop looking...! I'll go change some strings, that'll take my mind off GAS lol

Congrats FG, I happen to be a big fan of the new (and vintage) Streamliners, though some like to trash em for some reason. Don't change a thing, except maybe the pickups :)

Wow! Fendergyrl you don't mess around. I am a clown fumbling around thinking about a Gretsch and you get a killer guitar, and a hollow body at that.

FG, That's a beauty, I love the flying V tailpiece, and great color! I'm glad to hear you are out of the hospital and feeling better. NGD is good medicine.

That's a cool guitar. It has several unique attributes like the tailpiece but they're all kind of subtle. All together they really add some style.

Glad you're home. Enjoy that guitar.

Glad u r home FG. If you dont like the pickups(I hope you do, tho) contact Aaron at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups and tell him I sent you. He winds a vintage HB-sized filrtron replacement called the Rumpeltron that just oozes, well, vintage-ness. I have a pair in my semi-hollow Hamer Artist. I recently picked up a fully hollow Hamer Newport with a Bigsby, so I dig the semis and hollows too!
Rock that G in good health!

    Way to thin the herd!

Glad you're out of the hospital and ready to enjoy your new guitar.

    Cheers,

Well she came in really good shape. I was able to play it just a little bit. Mostly have been looking at her. After a few days I was able to get some playing time in. The hospital struck a nerve in my right arm and my hand hasn't been working so well...I have been nursing it. I haven't plugged her in yet!
But she sounds GREAT unplugged...for some reason if they sound good unplugged I feel that I have a good one. The set up is really nice, the workmanship is awesome. SweetWater did a great inspection. I love those guys. The more I am playing it little by little unplugged, I am really falling for this beauty. I am pretty sure I will dig the PUPS, but will keep the Rumpelstiltskin Info...I will probably check them out online later. Thanks for the kind words everybody...taking it day by day. So, for $449 and free shipping...I highly recommend one of these babies!

    FG

Plug that in as soon as you get a chance. Electric guitars like to be heard through amplifiers. ;)

So how are you liking the Gretsch? I played a Streamliner with a Bigsby in GC today and I was sorely tempted...

I am really digging it. After getting a nice setting for it thru my Egnator Tourmaster, I seem to be playing it more than my other Semi Hollows.
The Egnator allows you to really dial in a Guitar. I reminded myself to tune into the sound of the Pick Ups and not try to make it sound like something it isn't. (If that makes any sense o_O..right though?) The Egnator has a built in power-soak, so I set my volume, then dialed in my tone. I like the Broad'Tron Pick Ups. The Master Volume control is a great addition. I can really cover a lot of different tones with this guitar. I was primarily a Strat Gyrl, and used my Les Pauls a lot. Lately I have been digging P90s. This guitar has really gotten under my skin. I wish that I was brave enough to get back out and commit to gigging again, because this axe has really made my playing style mature. ;):p:D
