The MIM Standard Tele always had the headstock trussrod access. This is not a redeux of the CLASSIC series.

Agreed, but isn't this what the FSR market is for? OK, maybe not that specifically, but still - allow GC to make a custom color and some other custom "upgrades", Fender still builds it and makes money, and the sales channel still gets excited.

I am theorizing the "tidepool" is just the agave blue re-issued and renamed.

I.believe main reason for this is marketing. These colours like blonde, white and blue are mostly ordered Teles. Never seen different line up of.budget fenders. They make small changes to not lose income. I only wish they added maple board option for red one and seafoam with maple or pau ferro

Wrong, they are not current models but the were Fender models . The Vintage Player was a Series that existed before the Classic Player. The Roadworn Player came after the original Roadworn, some modern features and more subtle wear.

So, like I said, there is no Vintage Player series any longer. Note I used the present tense.

If it doesn't have "Player" in the name, does that mean it is just meant to hang on a wall? [emoji848]

I don’t think this is relevant to a thread about the Player series... but in any case it’s not accurate, as the American Elite series now have either maple or ebony fretboards, not Pau Ferro. It’s the MIM guitars which have moved to Pau Ferro, not the American ones.
Whether you like ebony or not could maybe be a topic for another thread...;)

I didn't realize that! I was alway thinking Fender needed to have some Teles with ebony boards. I see it is not available in the Thinline Elite :(

Nope. Sage Green Metallic is a resurrection from around 15 years ago. The MIM standards were available in SGM back around 2004. My 04 Jazz Bass is that exact colour.

You better get it, the buttersctoch blonde is Blonde with a little Scotch Spilled on it. Not a yellow or orange body. Its like sexy blonde you want to kiss and marry. :) Got mine since last day, love to death
