Cool guitar, but why are they still calling it an "Offset Tele?" There's nothing Tele-like about it except the headstock.

I thought they had to use Offset Tele because some other company snatched Jazzcaster and Telemaster. Either way, FMIC can call it whatever. It’s all semantics, as the “Teles” in the OP link (Troublemaker, Super Deluxe) all have different pickups, bridges, and even headstocks but get to be called Telecasters because of the body outline. Doesn’t matter anymore :)

So, some other "company" copied parts of two Fender guitars and made a guitar, and then took two copyrighted Fender model names and scrambled them up and they can copyright THA!?

I'm also curious. Anybody got an idea of US availability?

Man, I am so tempted by these (the Korina Offsets). I have my eye on one, but I’d have to move my SG because I can’t really justify having two p90 guitars in the house. Do I stick with the classic cool of that guitar or will this one still look as killer five or ten years from now? Is it a flavor of the week? If so, it’s a pretty inviting flavor.

it would be mine too except for those in-lays. Every time Fender introduces a guitar configuration I’ve wanted they add something that I hate like in-lays or painted headstocks or two tone tops and backs. Blechhhhh!!

    Also, bag the gold hardware.

I’m a weak man, y’all. I saw these and within 24 hours searched one out. Already put amp knobs on it because I thought it would look cool. This guitar is a lot of fun so far!

That is VERY nice. Looks like a two piece body? How is she, weight-wise?

8 pounds on the dot- that’s a lot of Korina, so it could be worse.

Sherwood Green is right up there with my favorite colors—Fiesta Red, Capri Orange, whatever that Gretsch orange is called, black, sparkle variations of those colors...:cool::cool:

Anyone have any idea what kind of p90s Fender is putting in these? I tinkered with the heights a little bit and I think they sound really, really phenomenal.

Looks great! I'm ready to sell my all mahogany for one...if I can find a light one, under 8 lbs.

The P90 in mine was a low wind MIJ, not bad at all, but the low wind Tele pickup could not keep up...

I meant to also ask you about the neck on your offset. I've read that some refer to it as chunky. In Fender terms, what would you describe it as? I might order one of these today. Near impossible to see/play one in the wild.

Definitely a full neck. I always have trouble describing them because I have big hands and double-jointed thumbs, so I hold necks all weird to begin with. I replaced a SG Classic with this one and the necks feel similar, though this one is a little deeper and the SG’s was a little rounder. It feels close to a Baja neck, maybe?

Also, I will warn that the gig bag it comes with is a complete waste of time. I ordered a Gator Transit electric bag and it fits great once you take the modular bumpers out!

Baja neck eh? Might be a bit much for me. I think this is the case that you are talking about? I don't know why Fender doesn't ante up the way PRS does with their soft cases.
