I want to see the Masterbuilt Frontier acoustic. I've always wanted one (from late 50's, early 60's) but the $4-6k price is out of my reach. The USA Texan is $2.5k whew !!! The headstocks they are using now are the ones Epis had when they were built in Kalamazoo Mich which I like. More authentic. They actually made better or just as good of a guitar as Gibson back in those days

I really like the look of the LPC with the new headstock.

I wonder if they will be blowing out all the old Epiphones with the old headstock.

Nice job on the website, trimmed away quite a few models and must be walking away from the entry level price points. Someone is getting their act together. Looks like the "Inspired by" Century is gone along with the P-90 339. Interesting cuts.

Just ordered the Uptown Kat in gold. I've been looking for a semi hollow gold top with minis or p90s for awhile. I blame Jason Isbell.

I was hoping you meant they had a table comparing ALL their guitar specs. I don't know why makers don't do that.
The specs on that site are missing a lot. For instance the archtops dont tell you how wide, big or how thick the body is. Dont say if it's a center block or hollw, dont tell you fret size.. meh.. etc etc etc

I would prefer rosewood. But it's inevitable.

But my biggest question. Fer cryin' out loud, which ones have ACTUAL MAPLE CAPS? I mean, epi seriously goes out of their to avoid addressing this directly, despite actually having some with MAPLE CAPS. What gives?

EDIT: I guess this explains why the SGs and 335/339s have been discounted so much on GC/MF.

Which has the Fattest neck profile?
Junior, Special or 50s LP Standard?

Jr says vintage 50s, special says 59 roundback...

I’ve sure been impressed with Epiphone’s ES-339s and especially their ES-Les Pauls. WOW.

Having two of the ES-Les Pauls, I’m well set, but I’d love to see them continue that line... for the people who haven’t discovered them yet.

And the ES-339s with AlNiCo Classic Pro and ProBucker pickups, with split-coil feature, sound so good that even a Tele-lover and an avid pickup swapper like me is impressed with the tones. Good going, Epiphone.

I was thinking that too-- the word "veneer" doesn't show up anywhere on the new site...

They have a spelling problem on the website...

Click on Acoustic Guitars and then 'Masterbilt'

    Add a 'u' globally

I'm more interested in their Masterbilt acoustics.
Their dr500 rosewood back and sides is getting harder to get and the prices are much higher than they were a few years back. I made the mistake of not buying one for $500 AU new with hard case. They go for over double that now with no hardcase if you can find one.

I like the shadow 2 pickups they have in them, its a ***** that they didn't install that system on their version of the j45.

I'm seeing vintage 50s for the Special too. The Standard is 59 medium C, so I assume it's thinner, but my side question to your question is:

The SG Special w/ p90s is what I really want, but:

    -is slim taper really slim?
-Will it neck dive? I hate neck dive.

I've been wanting an SG with vibrola for eons so I can get my John Cipollina on. Now I can actually afford it!

    Are these all Nashville bridges?

I notice the Uptown Kat displays Humuckers on the product page, mini Humbuckers in the guitar photo, and specifies mini Humbuckers in the text. Confusing...

I see it's the "Lockbar Tunomatic", which looks like a locking Nashville Tunomatic.
