yes, I was gonna mention no more toneriders. It seems that most of the effort and cost is now put into making the guitars look great and doing that even with some playability issues the new lineup will be a big success for Fender as they know their market very well. I was simply spoiled by the original Classic Vibe guitars that were world class instruments imo. I don't like where fender is headed lately and don't get me started on the current Shaw designed pickups.

Any change of having the first part of the serial number? I find this very interesting, because the Fender website has pictures of one with a Samick-prefix.

ya know what happened, I hit telecaster first to filter my search then classic vibe and only four guitar come up but I see you have to classic vibe first and look through all the classic vibes which is odd but fender is odd.

I really like the pickups in my new BSB CV (Indonesian made). I think I actually prefer them to my Chinese CVC. Is that heresy?

I had planned on buying new pickups when I ordered by BSB CV, I heard the pickups had been downgraded and assumed they would be ok at best. I was very pleasantly surprised. The neck pickup is especially good, IMO.

I think they are different, but hardly a downgrade!
