The color is Sapphire Blue. It weighs 6 lb. 13 oz, a full 2 pounds lighter than my Classic Vibe 50’s. I wanted a humbucker guitar, I haven’t owned one for over 30 years. This is a nice guitar. I’ll put some 10’s on it, and it needed some minor adjustments with action, pickup height, and intonation. It sounds great, I really like these pickups. I’ve been playing a lot of jazz on my single coil guitars, and this Thinline gives me some more tone options in that genre. 9AFBE6AD-1E42-4B98-A527-F87C65BCA2D9.jpeg

Beautiful guitar! I love that color.

I know those "wide range" pickups aren't the same as the originals but I think they sound fantastic. I have them in my Squire VM 70s thinline and wouldn't consider changing them.

I've really enjoyed mine. It is a nice guitar too. My other guitars are seeming heavy after spending time with this one. You snagged a good one.

Hey, I got one of those from Sweetwater last week. Beautiful looking guitars. Mine has a funky jack which I likely will fix myself but am waiting for the Sweetwater guys to give me the nod. They warned me if I go at it myself I lose warranty benefits or something so am interested in what they will attempt to do -- despite their reputation for superb service, am not feeling it myself right now, been waiting for two days for a response from both my 'sales engineer' and the tech specialist. And no candy either!

All that aside, this guitar is interesting. Mine's super light, under 6lbs I think, which is what I wanted. Color is gorgeous. Apart from the jack issue, it's generally decent quality. The pick ups are good enough, the general fit and finish is acceptable (the thinline cut is rough on edge and inside), nut seems like it might need replacing and I know people recommend changing out the tuners or bridge assembly, which means for a few bucks you can make it all a bit better, and I may go that route as it was bought to give me a platform for experimenting. That said, the hardware so far seems to function well, no intonation challenges I can't fix, it holds tuning, action is nice. The neck is a bit slim for my tastes but I find I can adjust to most necks over time as I play a guitar (though I can't help but wonder how a fatter neck on this would work). They shipped mine with 9s on..maybe that's standard but it makes the thing feel like a toy on first play unless that's your gauge. It's certainly a lot of guitar for comparatively little.
