The wife bought me a new Butter Scotch Blonde Affinity Tele for Christmas (with my knowledge) When it arrived I was surprised because it was a string through instead of a top loader as advertised. After a string change and set up it played very good, I will change PUs later. I checked the back of the headstock and it had "Crafted in China" on it, plus the serial # was CSSI 19000xxx. I'm thinking they have changed some things that hasn't made it to the website. Has anyone else seen a Squier Tele with the serial prefix CSSI? Any thoughts?

It is more like the original BSB....it was ordered from Musician's Friend as a regular Affinity Tele in BSB. Alder body, satin finished neck, med jumbo frets....weighs in at an even 8 lbs.

That's interesting. I bought a 2019 BSB Tele Affinity, mine was an Indo version with the top loader bridge. And to Rockstar's point, mine was very orange instead of typical BSB.

Color is more like an old BSB. The serial prefix is new to me.

The neck PUs without the screws is like the original Tele where you take the pickguard off to adjust the neck PU height.

I don’t see a BSB Affinity on MF’s site, unless I missed it. I do see an FSR Bullet with string-through, though.
