So, they changed the value of a cap?

Thank you! I thought it was just me. Except I think those prices are in pounds. So it's more like $105 more than the current stock BD-2, if accurate!

For that amount of dough I really hope they made the buffer switchable!

Why would you want to turn off the buffer? Its a Boss.

Sounds like customshop waffle outlining the king's new clothes.

    $205!!!

That means the JHS modded version (which will be available before the stock Boss version) is gonna be north of 3 bills.

 I'm sure the Worship Team budget can handle that.

If it was an Ibanez I would totally agree with you but it's not. "Slaps forehead in frustration"

"practically" is the key word here.

Excited to try, especially since my BD-2 has never let me down, but this guy would rather flip his hair than demo the pedals

Who is this Waza person, and is his last name "Fak"?

I'm guessing Boss put their tone squarely in their underpants when they realized MXR was cloning Keeley-modded Boss pedals and undercutting the one-man shops with booteek style at a mass-produced price point. These pedals are clearly intended to reclaim Boss' legacy from Analogman, Keeley, MXR, Way Huge, et el.

Perhaps it's a selling point for the follically challenged - "Boss gives you added body and shine"

I keep thinking this is an elaborate hoax. Going really shallow, IMO the extra logo looks jarring on the classic Boss design/tread. I know I'm only supposed to care about the purity of sound, etc. But I really LIKE the plain, utilitarian, form-follows-function classic Boss design.

    Is "Waza" defined anywhere?

Waza is a Japanese word that doesn't have an exact English equivalent. Its a combination of art and skill or expertise. Maybe craftsmanship is close?

It reminds of Hattori Hanzo and Japanese Steel in this fantastic clip from Kill Bill:

The price in pounds in the same as for the DS-1x, which goes for $149 in the US. I expect the BD-2w will go for the same price here.

Looks like you are right. DM-2w is a little more at $179. GC has them on their website now for preorder. Arrival in August.

Same here! When I was reading the description for all three pedals I had to look back at the picture because I kept forgetting which one they were talking about. They use such hackneyed and vague descriptions that it would describe almost any new pedal out there (with a marketing department):D
