Just got Netflix and downloads to my laptop no problem, sweet! Haven't gotten the flat panel TV with HDMI yet, just shopping now. Laptop has HDMI and USB ports, serial port and eSata port.

1.) Easiest way to go to a regular TV that has RCA and cable connections. Cable connection goes through surround sound receiver first. Is there a USB/RCA cable or USB/coax?

2.) Is there a bluetooth/wireless setup to go to TV without HDMI yet? Is there one for HDMI?

My house is set up wireless and I can drag the laptops around easy. Right now I just want to go to the regular TV without too much investment. Too many questions? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wouldn't the easiest option be a Netflix-ready box of some sort that you could just hook up directly to your TV if you don't want to tie your laptop to it?

Look into a Wi-fi enabled Blue ray DVD player. About 170.00 at Best Buy. According to the guy I talked to this will work for Net-flix. I didnt pony up for it but I hdont watch lots of movies. With this player you would have a dual function machine. The Blue ray will likely have a usb port to hook up an mp3 player.

Yep, (link removed)'s Netflix box uses the video and two audio connectors to your TV.

We use my new laptop, which has an HDMI-out to our LED-TV, so we saved 80 USD.

The Roku is great. I was an early adopter, and I turned a bunch of other people on to the device. But for today's buyers, I recommend getting a blu-ray player with Netflix streaming capability (I have one of those in my living room and the Roku in my bedroom). Best Buy currently has an one with wireless Netlfix streaming for $179. Check it out.

For those of you who haven't tried it, I highly recommend streaming Netflix to your TV. It's like having a humongous catalog of features, TV series and documentaries right at your fingertips. Instant satisfaction. When Robert Culp died last week, I got the inkling to check out some "I Spy," so I popped it into my Netflix queue and in a minute I was watching the pilot episode. If had the time and the inclination, I could've watched the entire run of the series. That's just a tiny example.

Right now, the resolution tops out at 720p (depending on the title and your download speed at the time of viewing) and the sound is only stereo, but the machines are built to deliver 1080p and 5.1 surround, the latter of which they'll be implementing later this year.

Yeah, it tops out at 480p. Sony PlayStation Netflix streams with full resolution, but it too requires a disc, which puts a major cramp in the joy and the ease of the Netflix streaming experience.

Ps3 also streams to tv. It works outstanding. Some items stream though the wireless in HD!
