I recently installed a Bigsby on a partscaster and have been fine tuning it. I decided to lubricate the friction points--string tree, nut, saddles, and the tension bar.
I had a bottle of "NeoLube" around. If you've never heard of it, it's "colloidal graphite suspended in alcohol." . It's a thin liquid you can paint on, mildly conductive. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way. I put it on with a toothpick
It might not be any better than a bunch of other things: all I can say for it is that it's surprisingly durable and it did an excellent job on the friction points on the tele.
Also it makes a nice finish: you can paint it on chrome that's been roughened and you get a good matte black that's reasonably durable. It dissolves in alcohol though so not entirely bar worthy.
Again not claiming it's better than any number of other options, just offering it as an idea
