I need to pull the chassis to fix a transformer bracket that is missing the nuts and bolts on on side, so that the transformer is secured to the bottom of the chassis once again. For the life of me, I must be missing something in the way this amp is put together. My old Blonde first year CVR was easy. Pop the four bolts on top of the cabinet and slide it right out. I don’t have any exploded views of this amp, so there is obviously something I am missing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or should I just pack it in and take it to an amp tech? Seems a simple enough fix if I can just get the little bugger out of the cabinet. Picture at left shows the hanging component, picture at right shows the top bolts out of the cabinet. Thanks
for your help.

Yes, that´s how I know it, and how I would do it myself.
But on a more recent ´65 Deluxe Reverb reissue, I found that the chassis was secured with a couple of screws from the back (at the top of the chassis). I never saw this before (on a Fender-amp...) - you might want to look into that!
Sorry, no pictures right now, as the amp is at our rehearsal space...

cheers - 68.

Thanks, found those screws, that did the trick. Then I discovered how I would need to move the PCB that the pots are connected to to be able to make the repair. Decided to see if I could find a tech local and let them do it and not risk me hosing it up. Simple fix, an hours tech time ought to more than cover it. But I have to say, this place is great. Always someone willing to help. And I really appreciate that. Thanks so much.

It may be possible to simply remove all of the knobs and nuts that hold the pots onto the chassis. Once those nuts are removed, you should be able to lift out the entire pcb with all of the pots attached. I have never been inside one of these so it's possible that I'm completely wrong.

From looking at it you could be right correct. That and needing to disconnect four ribbon connectors if I recall. Might have kept going if I could get my big fingers to work those tiny connectors loose. But, I lack a really good safe place to start that kind of work. No work bench set up with the tools all at hand and bins to store loose parts like I had years ago. So the path of least resistance is put her back together and a 40 minute ride to the big city. Things could be worse. On the plus side, it’s good to know one’s limitations. And I at least got to look the interior over for other missing parts. With the exception of that one bolt needing to be replaced, everything else is pretty tight.
Thank you for your help.
