Hi all! I have a customer looking to ID a Marshall combo they got in a big gear purchase and I was hoping to get some input from all of you! The pictures I got weren't very high quality but here's some info:

The # stamped on the top plate is 01199M
    Tube Amp
    Maybe 60s or 70s?

    Attaching pictures to this listing.

    Looks like a late 70's to 81 jmp 2104 50w mk2 master lead combo
I think L serials are around 78-79 so guessing that one is later.
    Probably 80- early 81
That switch pedal is obviously not original.
Great sounding amps but that one has been modified and appears to be in less than tidy condition. Check ebay listings for a price guide and comparison.

That's definitely on the right path I think! Ya I think that the knob is most likely a mod. Wonder why they didn't just drill a new hole and did something to the low input jack ! Thanks!

Not sure.. but my 74' JMP 50 watt head's serial no.(example) 123456F stipulated the "F" meant 1974 year..so I'm thinking this one is a 1981 "M" year model..This info was attained from the Marshall Amp book..

It’s common amongst conscious modders to use an already existing hole rather than add one. Makes the mod much more reversible and therefore maintains value.
