    Hi there,
I´m planning on building a Telecaster Thinline 72. After a lot of research I think I can say, that most of them have an U-shaped neck, depending on the model, some of them have a modern C-shape. But i prefer a U-shape. I´ve looked up many websites on the internet, but couldn´t find any plans or the dimensions. Does anybody have PDF´s or plans for a U-shape?

    Cheers,
    Franz

    Hi Franz,

Are you making / shaping your own neck from scratch or looking for the closest Fender U neck profile you can find in a licensed neck?

If you start with many of the fat/fatback necks available from Allparts or Warmoth, you’ll havea good starting point for what you’re after and can shape the neck to the point where you’ll have the best U for you.
