New Cymbal Day! I love it when gear arrives a day early:

First thing I noticed, they're very light. The whole package was 10 lbs. I thought they forgot to ship a few.

Very nice cymbals! They sound dry and short with a bit of trash. The crash is dark and full with a short decay. The trash is very trashy and dark. The little splash is just cute.

The ride is dry and dark with a mild decay. The bell is best hit with a nylon tip as I found myself laboring to get a good tone from it using Vic Firth 5A woods. But the hats are very nice and really what I was looking for. A nice hissy dark sound when they're open and a solid chick when closed. They open up very naturally as well. Thumbs up!

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with these! The bag they came in is very nice too and comes with a removable separator. The only drawback to the bag...no pockets! There isn't a pocket on the outside to hold keys, felts, etc. I would suggest they improve on that.

And now, on to more cymbal porn!

Congrats! Love good cymbal sounds. I'm guessing from the label these are darker than typical cymbals and then the holey cymbal? Do you get some extra sparkle out of that or what?

And thanks for the photos - the shots of the undersides are psycho-mo-delic!
