that being said where this is my 1st bass i only got a 30watt mega amp on its last life my brother used to own before he stopped playing and im using my guitar pedals for effects my chorus and eq works fine with it buti dont like te way my dirt pedals sound any sugestions on a dirt pedal in the $50-$150 range

Been playing bass for nearly 35 years. Never use a distortion pedal, never like distortion on a bass, don't know anyone who uses one, though I know there are people who do.

Looks like a good buy. Sounds like you need a decent amp.

If you find a good bass amp with either tubes or emulation, you won't need OD. It will break up and get overdriven. My friend was asking about OD pedals and I posted a thread that you can see if you scroll down the threads. jazz pickups do sound great btw!

The only way I ever got a decent distorted sound without losing the "booty" was to run two amps, a guitar amp with distortion, and a bass amp for uhhh, bass.
this was especially useful in trio gigs, when the rhythm guitar drops out for a solo.
More stuff to drag around though.

I really like having the switch to choose between clean with fuzz on top, full on fuzz or bass boost fuzz. Gets some really cool sounds with my P-90 tele and my P bass.

Just be careful with it. The foot switch on mine is starting to go out because I dropped it a couple times and it gets banged around in my soft case. Not a big deal to replace it with a better switch, though. The pedal is definitely worth the 20 minutes of soldering and $10 switch.

Cool looking bass. I actually like red guitars and basses. I've really gotten into buying basses in pawnshops when I find a really killer deal. I'm actually up to 9 now and still counting. HNBD. :)

Bass Big Muff ALL THE WAY. The bass player in my band uses one, and it sounds absolutely massive.
