My wife found this bass guitar lying next to the neighbor's trash can. Dirty, with no knobs, no control panel cover, no jack plate: trivial fixes all. It works, it sounds good - I like a P-style bass with a J-style narrow nut, like this one. Probably destined to become an "art bass".

I once bought a totally bashed Vox violin bass at the flea market for $1.50. I had a great learning experience, trying to repair the crushed arch top. It looked like somebody did a "smash-your-guitar" routine. There was a mouse nest in the body. When I had repaired the body, painted it British Racing Green, and defretted the neck, it was a wonderful bass.

I have never seen an Ibanez guitar that was not well-made. You scored big-time on this one!

Good color, but don't flash it around the neighborhood for a while...the owner might be angrily looking for it. Keep checking that trash can to see if some body-appendage-sized bags start showing up - that would be the wife that tossed it.

@Thoughtfree clearly visits a higher class of alleyway than the rest of us do.

    Gotta love good neighbors!
Nice that they seem to have set it down gently and not stuffed it in the can under a bunch of stank.
Solid bass there, what a deal.

I've always liked Ibanez basses, even the entry level ones are great for the price. Green however no so much. Yea I'm thinking art guitar. Anything but green. Nice score.. Hell I want neighbors like yours.

I like the necks on those. Even the economy models have good necks.

    Good snag.

What a cool find, and I like the green, and the pickguard shape.

Maybe I need to shut my pie hole about my $50 Squier P and $60 Dean Demonator basses now. Apparently better deals are out there.
