When Steph barely gets into double digits but you still lose...

Stick a fork in the Cavs, man; they’re cooked.

Is it just me, or has basketball gotten painfully predictable? GS vs. Cavs. Well likely see it again next year...

Ya, Durant added to the Warriors was really not good for the NBA. Fun for us Warriors fans but not very entertaining for NBA fans to have the same team in the finals 4 yrs in a row.

yeah, the years when the Yankees and Dodgers and Yankees and Giants were in the world series all the time weren't 'the heyday' of baseball... or the celtics/lakers years or the Pistons....

America LOVES dynasties... it adds simplicity AND richness to the narrative.... I hope the warriors and cavs are in it together for 5 more years!

If they want to build the next NBA monster team, LaBron to Huston would do it. Houston is actively courting LJ.

If the teammates were that thrown off by J.R.'s lapse, to suddenly become unable to compete at a professional level, that is also on those teammates, not just J.R. Professionals are supposed to be able to handle the crazy things that the game throws at them, and still perform at a professional level.

Psychologically, I think the Cavs knew in advance, they were going into the Lion's Den. They could only hope to win if every break went their way.

To start off, in the hole (at least on paper) probably hoping they'd be playing the Rockets, and then to catch a clear chance to steal a game to start off. They just had to win that game, once it was in their hands. You Mental Strength is crucial, but the other guy's mental strength is probably very similar. I just felt, psychologically, that the Cavs were cooked, throwing one away. I'm confident that Golden State could've come back nicely against a loss in Game #1, but they didn't have to - the Cavs had beaten themselves and Mr. James could not save the day ala Superman one more time.

Glad you were the one to say it. Yeah, it reminds me of (in baseball) various talent heavy New York Yankees teams. SF 49ers teams with just too much talent. Penguins teams with wall to wall to wall playmakers and defensemen. The Jordan era Chicago Bulls. Lopsided advantage could be fun for one season, but if it persists the other fans resent it too much and the local fans get complacent.

I have mixed emotions about the dynasty/one superior team thing, but what the hey the Warriors sure are fun to watch. The game has changed so much and they are the masters of the new.

I do like to see a truly, devastatingly, awesome team now and again, but I'd be okay if it wasn't every year.

Well GSW were a cp3 injury away from being knocked out in the conference finals and the Cavs were very lucky Boston suddenly forgot how to shoot otherwise they'd be out too, they were lucky to even get past Indy really if Oladipo were a bigger name and getting those superstar calls the big name guys get they could have been bounced then.

Lebron will leave so we won't see the same match up again, wherever he builds his new super team could be a match for Warriors, a healthy Boston will be big in the east remember they should have gotten past the Cavs and were missing their two best players plus relying on a rookie to lead their scoring, Philly with another year together and if they sort out what is going on with Fultz will be on the rise too, Kawhi returning to the spurs (or ending up somewhere else) will bring back another big name talent as well.

Lebron will go somewhere else, and that team will face GSW in the finals... I’m predicting Cavs 2.0 vs the Warriors next year.

Those Yankee, 49er & some Bull’s titles were bought outright, without a salary cap in place, allowing wealthy owners to buy championships...The ‘80’s Oilers Dynasty was built on a level playing field, (the irony being, Wayne Gretzky was traded at 27, resulting in only one more Cup)

This time Durant carried the others the way James routinely carries the Cavs. That was really fun to watch.

I think this was a breakout game for my Oregon guy Jordan Bell, who left after his junior year to enter last year's NBA draft. He shed his tentativity this time, grabbed a bunch of rebounds, and covered the spread.

Oof with a quarter left I can’t see the Cavs coming back from this.

If Lebron does leave, do the Cavs win 35 next year? Not sure I see it.
