Man oh man, as much as I love the Beach Boys and their superlative iconic harmonies,
I always felt Carol Kaye's up front bass playing in Sloop John B,
makes that song pulsate and brings it to life!!

And it's slightly distorted at the very end as it all reaches a crescendo.

This is an amazing compilation that I listen to frequently. I have about every sea shanty album in print and some out of print. Amazing and entertaining music often used as work songs for particular tasks on old sailing vessels.
If you can find any Johnny Collins works, buy them while you can.
