I know there was another thread about the new website but I still didn't get the info I wanted. I want to see the practice speeds for each individual race. I just meandered through again and I could not find them. Can someone give me a clue? I thought I disliked the last setup when it came out 3 or 4 years ago. This one just plain sucks.

You are right. NASCAR has a terrible website...at least for finding information. I've gone there after qualifying and been unable to locate the pole winner. Funny thing is, it actually used to be one of the best websites of all major pro sport leagues (like 15 years ago). Most times I just go to Jayski's website now.

I found it. Go to Sprint Cup series page, then click on "Standings".

On the right it will have Daytona 500 results and below those it says "View Results" in blue. Click on View Results and it goes to Phoenix and the practice speeds. Why? Don't know. But I got to see the numbers I wanted.

Average start time, or finish time is nothing like avg. speed. Oh, well.

Hey I went through Cato dozens of times in my life. Right by that beautiful Cato-Meridian High School. I love that area of upstate New York. Right where 370 and 104 meet I think. I have a house in Webster. Yes, I have started to look at Jayskis also.

On the other hand, NASCAR's website is one of the best when it comes to multimedia...particularly live and archived audio/video. That app where you can select from dozens of different camera angles and in-car communication radio feeds is pretty darn awesome! But yeah, if you just want to know what time the next race starts or something, good luck finding that.

I tried to find something last week. I gave up.

I used to use it a lot. Not anymore.

LOL...I just checked it out too. Ugh...what a mess. I think for a nice uncluttered experience Yahoo also does a nice job (for other sports as well).

The funny thing is, they have been getting hundreds and hundreds of complaints a week since they re-did it and nothing has improved.

They may also have been getting thousands and thousands of "we love it!!!". I can see how it would appeal to your average iphone user who just wants pretty pictures instead of lap times.

That's typical of NASCAR when it comes to fan complaints about anything.

Despite their "we heard the fans" spin on it, the only reason we're seeing this new Gen6 car is because Chevy threatened to pull out of NASCAR if they didn't fix the CoT.

I definitely don't like it ! Why did they have to fix what wasn't broken?

It used to be run by Turner Media, now it is run by NASCAR media, I guess they felt they had to put their stamp on it.
