That made me laugh out loud! Thank you so much—I needed that!
So many people take peeing for granted. I did until I had kidney failure...
Reading through the responses here reminds me (again) what an incredibly diverse place this is. My top 3
1. family, my daughters, my life is immeasurably richer for their presence
2. to live in a place where I can express myself religiously, politically, etc. without fear of retribution. Half of the world does not have this freedom.
3. My God-given gifts to express myself musically and artistically.
Lots of good points, I'll second those who put sobriety on the list, and add my 12 step recovery community who are scrambling to set up all the closed meetings on zoom.
My home group just set up last week and will hold our first zoom meeting Wednesday.
Interestingly it means that we can now be in touch with folks who are far away, so instead of isolation, we get to meet lots of new people. I was in an English speaking Canadian meeting recently, never went to a meeting in Canada before.
Also had an area service meeting Sunday, much effort revolving around the challenges we face with isolation, and the need and options for adapting as a community.
Families can consider getting a free zoom account which will allow adults families to visit distant shut in elders, the free version cuts off after 40 minutes if more than three are logged on, but you can then start a new session and get together for as long as you feel like if you just keep restarting at intervals. Pretty nice visit for a shut in elder though at 40 minutes.
I’ll throw in this neighborhood kitten age cat that visits too often and is a delight.
We don’t know who if anyone is the owner and it’s possible he is homeless.
I’ve asked around the neighborhood with no success.
Last night I was at the grocery store and my wife called to say the cat was crying at the door in the rain and 35 degree temp.
I bought cat food and litter because we didn’t have the heart to turn him out.

Oh yeah: wife, good friends, health, blah, blah, blah...
What more could you ask from life?
Sending prayers for your wife, Dan. May the Lord strengthen you both! Hang in there, buddy.
Get a haircut ya hippies!
Haircut is right! They don't shed so we need to get them groomed every few months. Mama is the blond, the chocolates (actually silver-beige) are her puppies.
