OK, so, I bought this guitar yesterday in absolutely mint condition and really enjoy it.

I think I got a very good deal on it and I'm not sure yet if I'm going to keep it or not.

The big question is, What the heck Model is it?

The seller said it's a 2019 Epiphone Les Paul. I think the peghead shape makes it a 2020 model.

It has the push - pull volume knobs.

I cannot track down the exact model.
And I cannot tell if it's a veneer quilted top, or an actual carved maple top. There doesn't seem to be any definitive information on this guitar.

As close as I can tell, it might be an "Epiphone Exclusive Les Paul Plus Quilt Top Pro - Dark Honey Burst." (Longest guitar title EVER!) But I cannot find an exact match, and the serial number takes a black ops professional to try and decode it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It's probably an early production 2020 model.

    aaaaaaand, how does it sound?
    what does it weigh?
I'd bet on veneer, but that could be confirmed by pickup removal.
very easy to look at - it's a beauty

    Thank You!
    So, it's actually a 2020 year guitar.

Now if only I could figure out the actual model.

I'm trying to figure out the value and actual specs on this guitar and then decide if I'm going to keep it, mod it, or sell it.

It sounds pretty good. The pickups aren't great, but they're much better than Epi's I've heard in the past.

I'm tempted to put in a set of Seymour Duncan p'ups. Custom V at the bridge and a '59 or jazz at the neck. Maybe a Lollar low wind neck pickup. I don't like a boomy neck pickup.

I already own 18 other high quality guitars that don't get played enough so this one is going to have to prove itself worthy, LOL.

The deal was really good on this, but I won't know exactly how good until I can identify the specific model.

The frets need a little attention. The nut slots need to be cleaned up a bit. And I always file the bridge saddles to a rounded peak on tune-o-matics. Dramatically improves the tone.

    It's a work in progress.

Anyone have a guess as to which exact model this is? I can't find it anywhere.

That is a great looking top- you scored here. I just saw a 2019 used at a GC, and the top almost looked fake, it was pretty bad. They seem to vary a lot!

Beautiful guitar though! I hope it plays as well as all the Epi's I've owned. Congratulations!

OK, so, what model is it?

    What's it worth?

All I can find is conflicting information placing the used value anywhere between $300 and $700.

    Anyone know?

Herbert? Shed light on this mystery for this unenlightened, uncool relic of another time and place, O omniscient Peegoo!

I can't find an epi les paul with a quilted top and no pickguard to match the one I have.

I'm trying to decide whether to keep it or sell it, but have no idea what it's worth.
