View attachment 876498 So anyone can tell I am enamored with all the new critters in my yard and surrounding neighborhood. The birds of all types, fireflies, deer, our new yard turtle Mr. Turtlelini and the groundhog. Yes he is not a muskrat. No love there. But he has no name. We also have a stray kitty we just call Kitty. I put a bed in the yard shed for her and she likes it.

So give me some suggestions for our groundhog dude. What would you name him? If I get enough popular names I'll start a poll.

I think he looks an awful lot like John Belushi, maybe just call him JB so it don't hurt nobody's feelings.

But thats as common a groundhog as a common groundhog can be.

Somewhere near there is a few holes, and a bunch more groundhogs.

Being the OP is in GA, I am a little surprised at a lack of familiarity with common regional wildlife. You do know you have among other things... Skunks, Armadillos, etc.
Oh! And feral pigs/wild boar. They can ruin your day!

Then theres the pests.
Some of them human...
