We were enjoying an excellent documentary on Andrew Wyeth together, on Amazon Prime. What next?

I picked "Blitzed: Nazis on Drugs", about how WW2 German soldiers were regularly fed uppers. She left...

I’m the one who walks out. Cable. Streaming. Endless chic flicks, Friends reruns, SVU and Criminal Minds reruns. The chic stuff is bad enough but endless perverts and serial killers. I don’t get it and I can’t stand it.

My wife and I haven't watched TV or movies in many years, thank God.

It doesn't take much for my g/f to leave the room. Any kind of shooting and she's out.

Saw a great one. Can’t remember the name. Help me out. Hulu or Netflix probably. Maybe prime.
It’s like a fitness mockumentery. I thought it was a real documentary the first 20 or so minutes. About this schlub guy who starts this at home fitness “program”. It gets real dark. He does get fit but by the end he’s crazy and eating feces.
Wife hated it. I want to see it again.
    Anyone??!

Probably the only time my fiancee has come close getting up and walking out of the room on a movie was last year, at a time when we were just watching whatever out of boredom. I picked Buckaroo Banzai.

A few years ago, we both virtually walked out on the series Outlander halfway through the first season. It was just too graphic, too intense, and stressful.

My wife is much better about sticking with things than she used to be but she'd pull the plug on game of thrones, I'm sure.

GF threatened to bolt after a particular scene in "The Tin Drum". I acquiesced. I've still never seen the rest of the film.

Anything Simpsons or any of those adult cartoons. She's gone.

Put on a comic book movie, we both leave the room.

My wife turned me on to David Lynch, and also Jim Jarmusch.
We watched Down By Law at her parents place on our first date, and I actually fell asleep in the middle of it.
She also pretty much turned me on to George Romero and Zombie films in general though of course I'd seen and liked some.

I just have more tolerance for lowbrow where she has college art degree tempered expectations of quality cinema.
If I'm being entertained and it's too late to start a project I'm pretty trashy in my expectations.

I have a rule though, no TV or movies before the sun sets.
She OTOH can turn that durn thing on at noon!
Now daytime TV or even movies is low low lowbrow IMO!

Doesn't matter what's on before sunset, I'm gone.

Anything with lots of cursing and she bails. Which is ironic, given my tendency to curse "like a sailor with tourettes" I've been told....

    Bright; bailed in minutes.

When we were dating 11ish years ago, I tried to get her to watch American History X. She didn't last long.

That "The End" movie with Seth Rogan? Maybe made it 10 minutes. She didn't even get to the part where Danny McBride has Channing Tatum as his personal gimp........

I typically wait til shes in bed to even watch some of my favorite stand up comics, Because Chappelle and Kat Williams say too many words that make her uncomfortable. (No, not just that word, the normal bad words that everyone says. I don't get it. My favorite noun, verb, and adverb is that same 4 letter one than autocorrect will change to "duck", but it's not ok on if the people saying it are on TV...)

But her standards change if shes into a show; I got her started on True Blood ages ago, and the words, violence, nake people and gore didn't phase her. Ditto with GoT.

Thank god my oldest son is old enough to watch B horror movies with me, I was starting to feel alienated........
