image.jpg So...I was reading a thread here the other day about $90 amps. Today I walked into a guitar store a buddy of mine owns and saw a Pathfinder 15R sitting there. Pretty clean one too. I already have the non-verb version, I don’t need another, but of course I had to ask...

    “Whaddya want for this?”.

    “Oh, I don’t know...about $90 probably”.

I guess I have to buy it now...

Dude. A Vox Pathfinder is a seriously worthy amp.

Great score! Love those amps! A few years ago I had two P15R's - an older one with black grill cloth and a new one with brown. Of those 2 particular amps, the new one sounded better so I sold the older one. Of course, Vox discontinued them about two months later and I have been looking for another one ever since.......:(

    Looks super clean as well.
A Vox Pathfinder 15R is kinda like toilet paper was a few months ago.....you find one for sale? ...you buy that sucker, whether you need it or not. If you don't want it, you can easily flip it for a profit. ;)

Yeah, I just got one as well-a 15r head with the 2 10 cab. I’m amazed at how good it sounds. The reverb is weak but the tremolo is excellent.

I hope you enjoy yours. And yes, you need it!

I have to bring it home for a few days first, not because I’m unsure, it’s just a dance we do...:)

They are great little home amps. You need an amp in every room for when the mood strikes!

Are you going to sell the non-verb one?

What's the dragon claw with a crystal ball?

The claw thing is an end table leg...I never noticed that before...

The non verb PF, prolly hang on to it for now, it’s pretty ugly & I’d almost be embarrassed to try to sell it lol. I had two non-verb’s, one really clean, the other not so much, & I gave the cleaner one to my niece as she’s just started to learn to play. May save the ugly one for a trade add-on down the road. Or just keep it. It doesn’t take up much room.

You could always re-house it. I'd love to find an ugly one for a project.

So did you actually buy it, or is store letting you check it out ( at home) first?

I've had mind 6-7 years now, and played ( lower volume, smaller room) R&R/blues, Country gigs, and even a dinner theater run with this most awesome amp!

I’m gonna buy it, just haven’t been back up there. The owner is a buddy, he let me take it home. He knows I’m not gonna run off with it...we play golf all the time and he’s got one of my drivers...:)
