One was a planned purchase; the other followed my wife home. First the planned purchase:
Larrivee D-02. I've been without an acoustic for a while and have wanted a Larrivee. This one plays and sounds wonderfully. Love it!
The other is below. My wife found this at an estate sale for $15. It's a classical guitar, maybe spanish. The label in the body says "Guiermantes - Guitarrero a mano." It's signed by Carlos Guermantes. It appears to be pretty old. Very little on the internet on these, but what little I've found suggests these were made in Spain in the 40s or 50s.
Major damage is obviously the bridge. There's also a crack running along the center seam of the soundboard, but it's not too bad. Other than that, just cosmetic dings, I think. The neck on this thing is like a mahogany 2x4. I'm going to see what the cost of repair would be.
