Started learning guitar back in about 1978ish on a crappy Stella acoustic. After getting my first electric in about 1980, I never really played acoustics. I’ve owned a few over the years but only really played them when necessary (campfires, church, etc…).
Current band has a handful of tunes in the setlist which call for an acoustic but I have been trying to cover them with a sim pedal. A couple days ago, I pulled out my unused acoustic and ran it through my system using a Dean Markley sound hole pickup and realized what a crappy simulation the pedal is.
I immediately went on FB marketplace to see if I could find something inexpensive with an onboard pickup.
Found this one and picked it up today.
Not the best tone as an acoustic but has a fantastic sound run through the system and it plays fairly well. Will be using it at the next gig and every gig going forward.
$250 for guitar, a really nice Road Runner gig bag and a Roland MicroCube amp.
