image.jpg o_OSo this one is new to me, being made in 2004. Been on an acoustic guitar adventure, trying to find a Taylor that both sounds good and plays as great as the one I couldn’t afford about five ago that I’ve been chasing after in many ways.

found this one on reverb for a steal. Because it’s one of the first runs of the 214, it’s all solid wood - Sitka Spruce top and Sapele back and sides. Not sure that truly matters all that much, but I guess it appeals to my lizard brain. I just like the idea of my acoustics being all solid wood.

Plays amazing well, sounds good, and looks good next to my Am. Special—because that’s REALLY important...o_O

This should satisfy my GAS for at least a couple months haha

Congrats. I have a 214ce from around the same time. Great guitars! Looks to be in great shape too! Enjoy.

I believe the ended making them solid wood around 06 — maybe 07? You can tell if it has bracing on the back of the guitar. The laminate guitars don’t.
