I made up my mind. It's going back. The lackluster IRs are a major dealbreaker for me.

That’s a shame, but on the plus side something that can be patched with firmware. Return sounds like best plan and keep an eye for if Fender release a patch down the line

Before packing it up, consider contacting Fender to see if they are developing a patch that could fix it. Perhaps even a re-flash of the existing software would fix it.

I hope you can try another one. Seems strange that they would be so good on the other models, have to wonder if it was an issue with just this particular amp vs the entire model.

One more time about weight and gigs:
    From rehearsalsplace to car…
    From car to stage….
    Playing two hours….
    From stage to car…
    From car back to rehearsalplace.
    And that’s only the Amp.
Weight matters a lot for me and saves fingerjoints, the ones in the hand.

I just picked one up. Honestly the Twin sounded fuller at the store but the whole reason I bought it was I have had SR gas for the longest time and with the TM being half the price and half the weight.... Well I brought it home.

GC had them sale priced at 899 + return policy...seemed worth the risk.

The big cleans were awesome, not impressed with the over drive tones but looking forward to putting a pedal in front of it.

Give the speakers some break in time and i bet that amp sounds better and better.

(Looking on Google maps) Hey! 24 miles or so away! I'll be right over with a Tele to give her a go!

The volume sounds like it might be an issue. I do have a dB meter mounted on the wall 6 feet behind and 4 feet to the right of my TM Twin. Using my Strat in the number two position with the Twin in the 22 watt setting and its volume set to 4, playing clean, the meter reads 89 dB. Crank the amp to 6 and I get 98-99 dB. Set the power setting to the full 85 watts and I get 99dB at 4 and send the meter into its warning beeps at 111dB when the amp is turned up to 6. You should get similar readings with a Super, just not quite as loud at maximum.

I haven't used mine with the band yet but it isn't lacking in volume.
