    Congratulations, good looking amp.

I love the Supro Amps. I had a Supro Dual Tone for a couple of years. I used it as a backup amp with my last band. Really a great sounding amp. A geat speaker, really nice warm tones, and excellent Tremolo. I only sold it, to help finance a vintage Fender amp purchase.

    Enjoy your new amps.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. Where are these made?

I saw a used one in a GC out of town. I've since kept peaking at the Supro amps here and there.

Unlike the USA Supro's which are really only assembled in the USA(complete chassis is made in China, which is married to the the cab and speaker here in the US), the Blues Kings are made completely in China, hence the lower price. The build quality is really quite good, no worse than most other amps in this price range. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the amp overall.

I'm very pleased with my bluesKing 8. 1 watt is perfect for home and recording. I realised today that this is the only amp I have ever had that I don't have to fiddle with to get a good tone on all three tele pickup settings. Once i have a good sound I can leave the controls where they are and just play. And the next day it sounds exactly the same.

Contrary to some reports and reviews, the Supro cleans are lovely. smooth, rich, characterful, and just plain interesting. I think a Bluesking 12 is in my future, when there are gigs again.

How's the clean headroom on these amps compared to a Princeton? Thanks

I can't comment on the Blues King, but my 1600 Supreme is a fantastic Rock and Roll amp.

I like the look of these Supro's, and I like what I'm hearing about them...
But they seem pretty pricey - especially for a Made In China model.
They cost more than a Hand-wired AC-30. Are they really that good ?

Are things priced differently in the UK? The "Blues King" series from Supro (made in China) can be had for $400, $500, and $600 for the 8", 10", and 12" models, respectively. A handwired Vox AC4 starts at $840...

Now the other series of Supro Amps, whose parts are manufactured in China, but assembled in the USA, start at $750 for the 1606 Super (think Supro equivalent to a vintage Fender Champ) up through $1600 for the 1695RT Black Magic with tube-driven Reverb and Tremolo.

Ah, OK. The Blues King 15w 12" Combo is £549 in UK. I was looking at the 1650 RT, which is £1200. That series look very cool

I rented one for a weekend last summer and thought it was pretty good.
The biggest issue was that it seemed very bass heavy.
I chalked this up to it being a new speaker.

have you had the same experience?
Did it calm down any after some hours in use?
I really would like to give it another go.
