Bought a guitar and the guy threw this little Texas Red in for free. I like this little amp. You can manipulate it to get some decent tones. The stock speaker is pretty lame. I hooked it up to a cab with a Vintage 30 to see how it would sound. That’s when it came alive. So looking for a 10 that’s close or maybe in the Alnico range. Has anyone tried a different 10 and how was it. This could be a cool little lounge amp.

Mesa put a 10” Creamback in my Mark V:25 Combo. (It’s made by Celestion in England)

I can’t think of a better 10” speaker for that amp. Maybe it would be good in yours?

Try an Eminence Legend ALK 1028 in it. Hard to beat at any price; and at its price, it cannot be beat, imho.

I’m leaning that way. Or a Jensen Mod. I’m surprised at how good the reverb is on these.

I have a Weber in my old tweed harvard. I think they are making some great speakers, and have great customer service. They will guide you to the exact speaker for your style of music and amplifier. Highly recommend them.

If you want smooth, bloomy, and creamy, the WGS G10C/S is great right out of the box.

Depends on what you want to spend. I would toss in a
    Celestion G10 Greenback 10".

I'm currently looking into 10" speaker options - namely the WGS ET10 (creamback-inspired) and WGS Retro10 (V30 inspired).

I've had the big sister of the ET10, the ET65 (12"), for about 2 years now and I love it.

Here's a brief demo/comparison between the two that I was watching earlier:

They have another 10" as part of their British voiced line, the "Green Beret", which I'm guessing is a Greenback type. Its only 25w though. The other two options mentioned above are 60-65w.
