Actually, I really like Orange clean tone! I have a Crush 60 and like it’s clean channel. But I’m not crazy about the natural channel in the Rockers. I’d be very interested to try the Tremlord.

Some amps speak to us, some amps don't. It isn't the amp or the ears, it is the communication.

I have one and agree that it doesn’t need drive pedals.

    Try a Timmy though.

I think you’ll be really happy.

I have a Pure Sky, but I haven't tried it with this amp yet. Reverb pedal in the loop was a must though.

Congratulations, you really switched your tonal preference between the two amps. I owned a Rocker 30 combo (first version) years ago. I still regret selling that amp, niece cleans and good overdrive without a pedal. I’ve yet to find another amp that would do both types of tones as well and that was as portable.

    Congratulations and enjoy.

I'm planning to sell my TMDR, as there is some kind of mild mid presence that is a bit annoying to my ears, especially with OD pedals. I suspect it is the Jensen speaker looking at its specs sheets, but I don't want to start buying different speakers and not get to the bottom of it. I compared it to my friend's DRRI, and it sounds much less pronounced on that amp, and a little more sparkly on the top end. The TM is good amp, but not for my ears I'm afraid.

Not all Orange amps are high gain.
Some can do high gain, but they do a lot more along the way too.

A lot of metal bands use them because nothing sounds as thick as an Orange.
But I use my AD15, Rocker 30 and Rockerverb 50 from jazz, to blues to classic rock type gain level.

The Rocker and Rockerverb can do more, but that's not what I play.
