Adrian Emlsley is one of the few amp designers today doing really innovative work IMO.

It's loud - I'm using 15 watts in rehearsal. I put a Sov LPS in V2 which is the Natural preamp. It's sweetened the clean sound and given it a bit more airy tone. Other than that, the stock tubes and speakers just - work.

How does the half/full standby switch work?

Push it forward it engages a lower voltage tap on the transformer for 7 watts aside - exactly like the Tiny/Dual Terror.

Lowers headroom just a tad. Pull it towards you it's 30 watts

The stock speakers are Orange Voice Of The World Eminences and quite efficient at 102db. It has no trouble getting over drums.

It cuts - I have no trouble hearing it and have been asked to turn up.

Plus it's just on 50lb and Deluxe Reverb sized.

Retail here in Oz - $Aud2200 or about $US1700. I picked this up for $US500 because of a few cosmetic scars. Guy was going to get another Orange head to match his RockerReverb and his 212 and 412 cabs.

So same as Trem Lord, switch is 3 position.. standby in middle?

On the TremLord, bedroom mode is depedant on the rear switch 2/4 power tube mode. 1&15w when 2 EL84s, 2&30w when 4 EL84s.

Have you actually weighed it. The Trem Lord 112 is 53 lb. Not sure my brain can grasp a 212 being less...

Not even thought yet of pre amp tube diddling... That is one expensive pre-amp tube though, LPS...
