New (to me) Amp Day. A 2007 TT. In really good condition except for one issue (discussed below). Took all of about 8 seconds for me to find the sound I was after and it sounds really great through my Orange 2x12 cab that now has one G12M-65 Creamback and one Neo Creamback. Mostly played at lower volume tonight and this thing with the Master low, gain at about 1 o’clock and on 7-watt mode does the snarling, punchy, breaking-up Orange tone that I love. Same basic voice as it has with the volume turned up. By comparison, my Origin 20 through the same cab, even on 0.5 watt mode and with the gain maxed and boosted, has to have the master volume up quite a bit and is already “waking the kids on the 2nd floor” loud to get close to that sound at all.

My one gripe. The gain pot shaft is bent. It still works, but it is very stiff and you can see how it offsets from the low to midway-up positions.

I got it on Reverb. Paid a fair price but one that is more indicative of one of these in very good to excellent condition. Possible that it was damaged in shipping, I suppose, but it was pretty well-packed. Was not disclosed by the seller. I’ll start by contacting them to see what they have to say. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy playing it.

A lot of credit is given to Vox, Fender, Marshall, Peavey and Mesa as having a "sound".... but to my ear, the Orange sound is by far the most distinctive of all. That character seems to extend to every Orange product I have tried. It is usually not my go-to sound, but it is always fun and I find that I play them differently because of that.

i had a tiny terror some years ago, but i sold it to the other guitarist in a band i was playing in at the time because he wanted to use it all the time. it's the only amp i've ever referred to as 'the tone bath'. while others might point out that it's a one-trick pony, no other amp pulls off that that trick as well.

Long ago there was the terrific (pun intended) Marshall 18W that became the popular and refined DIY 18W lite2b platform that begat the 18W stout variations with an extra gain stage. Orange topped them all with the Tiny Terror and its careful voicing and sublime volume/gain controls. The evolution of that topology is over.

"You are now a member of the ‘Legendary British Guitar Amplifier’ owners club!"

I bought a TT15 a few weeks ago. It has the British Glory mod which supposedly makes it more Marshall-like.
[I've had a MT20 for a few years.]
I've only played it at low volumes at home using the speaker in my Deluxe 85 combo.
I'll see what it can really do thru' a 4x12 at rehearsal next week.

Seller indicated that it must have been damaged in shipping. Following up to see what insurance there would be through UPS. Not exactly sure what my options are - whether I should keep it and have it checked out by a tech or just return it. Thoughts?

Nice amp , and really cool vintage looking guitar. I’ve never had the pleasure a of playing a nice orange amp
Thanks. It’s a 2015 AV64, but has aged well. Pickguard is clear with a picture my daughter drew of a “happy monster” at ~age 3, printed on photo paper beneath it. That guitar is a happy monster indeed.
