    The thread a few weeks ago about “Marshall is to a Les Paul as ___ is to a Telecaster” reminded me that I got rid of my Marshall a while back and pedals through other amps can’t recreate that sound.
    I also had a Vox AC4 I never touched, so found a guy who took it and $100 cdn for his mint DSL 15C.

    I’m not in a band, don’t record or gig. It’s all basement guest room jamming/noodling when the family is asleep for me. The current setup seems to suit all my needs. For now anyways.

    JRtele: I read your post a few times, i’m not sure what it’s is about, other than being a night time player at home. I do that most of the time also. Can you elaborate further.

    He said he swapped his AC4 for a Marshall because it sounds so good with his Les Paul.

    Nice set-up, congrats! That would work well for a small space jam session if you get the urge.
