Got this last week for my birthday. After years of only playing SS amps, I am really enjoying the tones and smell of a valve amp ;)

I've always heard great things about the Laney's. I've never had the chance to play through one.

The cubs are great amps and darn underrated. I‘ve got a Cub 8 for home, swapped tubes and speaker (WGS8) and built a new floating baffle. Sounds incredibly close to my vintage Champ.

FX loop works great with my looper, and the boost is quite handy for lead bits. The onboard reverb is sweet.
My only annoyances so far with this model is that the foot-switch for boost/reverb is not included, so I will have to shell out a bit more for that. And that the chassis needs to come out to get at the valves, they are caged away from the speaker, don’t know if that’s to improve noise or what, hopefully won’t need to get at them too often. Really is quite addictive to play through compared to my old fender mustang, it’s making me concentrate much more on picking dynamics. Very happy so far.
