I finally got my first tube amp! It's a Egnater Rebel 30. 30 watt tube amp 2 channel. So far I've loved it![IMG]

Nice! I used to have a Rebel 30 head & cab. Fun little amps!

The Egnater Series amps are a popular breed, but ya like that vibe to make it work for ya.

    Good start !!!
    As an experiment ...
Try plugging your guitar straight into the amp ... no effects ...
And see if you like what you hear ...
    Then ... Plan B ...

Cool. You've graduated from being just a "guitar owner" to a "Guitar Player"! Congratulations! Fame, fortune & endless fornication await! (That's the myth anyway...)

That's actually the first thing I did. I really liked the sound going straight into the amp, plus it would be more reliable not having more to break, however I play at my church and I need the delays at least for swells and I like to have at least one mod pedal. I also like the many gain stages and the compressor, though they're not necessary.

I've been playing at my church for years and have been using a Joyo American sound preamp after my reverb pedal. That sounded pretty good, but just after playing with this amp at home I can't wait to try it out Sunday

20200523_095641.jpg I've had a Rebel 20 head for probably a decade now. IMO Egnater are grossly underated amps that punch well above their weight. I bet that 30 combo will get the church rockin'.

I want one. Keith Howland with Chicago uses Egnater and swears by them. I tried a few in the store and loved them but had no money to buy.

    Nice!!! Great amps.
That’s all true... while us bassist and drummers load gear, haul gear, set up and tear down gear, yada yada.
