I think a lot of old amps had that, there used to be a lot of accordions getting played. I am aware that the Fender Excelsior is not actually all that old, but It's trying to be.
Oh believe me, having been a part of 18 Kitchener Oktoberfests by now, I know all about amplified accordions! :)

I bet it sounds good .
Boy howdy does it ever sound good! The 15" speaker moves a lot of air, it growls menacingly at half volume and sounds very warm and solid at very low volume. A great addition to any low-power tube amp collection.

Found a maker of old-school canvas duck covers........matches the retro vibe of the amp.

I have a couple of little Gretas from the same series.
Yep, the Gretas are a fun little living room or workshop amp.

Wait, it has an "Accordion" input? An "Accordion" input!?!

Really? That amp would work great in a Cajun or a Conjunto/Norteño/Tex-Mex band!

PRO TIP- try setting that switch so it balances in-between the two settings
You can also jumper the guitar and accordian inputs and plug into the mic input and you get a little more...something.

I love mine. I bought it on a whim when one came up for sale locally (for 50 bucks more than the new one I passed on 9 years ago) and my PRRI has sat idle since. I've got a JJ 5751 in V1 and EHX branded 6v6s in it. I might do the speaker swap, but don't plan to fuss with adding a tone knob or making the sag resistors switchable or anything; just stick it in the middle like Blowtorch said.

That's the last newer amp on my "must own" list. I was drooling over one at a store a week ago, but didn't have the $400 to spare, it being Christmas time.

Some guy kept looking at me funny when I'd giggled at the tremelo. I tried it with a beaten up "fender '51" from the guitar pawnshop series. It was interesting, but that amp more so. I only see them for sale occasionally nearby, I'm thinking it's tone ti snag one this summer.
IIRC, that amp is a favorite of Mike Campbell. There’s a guy around here in a rockabilly band that plays one and it always sounds fantastic.
You're only a few hours north of me, there's a gigging rockabilly band in Ohio?
My psychobilly bands having such a hard time replacing our upright player that it's not even funny. But hats off to anyone rolling with rockabilly. Seldom seen on this side of the country.

I wouldn’t say there’s a ton of it around here, but there’s more than a couple.

Reverend, which Side of the country is Ohio on?? By my understanding. Ohio is close to the home of rockabilly as far as East and west are concerned. Tennessee isn’t far from Ohio….and some hold Tennessee to be the home of rockabilly. That’s where Carl Perkins first recorded, I think. Bill Haley was born in Michigan and grew up in Pennsylvania.

Where it started isn't where it thrives in 2022.

I keep discovering rockabilly and psychobilly bands in or near California. But with the exception of some in FL, that's where most are situated. As far as psychobilly goes, even less abound than rockabilly.
Something about the car culture bolsters it's relevance I suppose.

But I absolutely agree that it started here in the middle. And many of its most important musicians did too.

Ohios definitely on the "not west coast" side of the country. I know this, because every amp I see a great deal on when browsing reverb is listed there or in Seattle.......
