Loving the new iteration of the Blues Junior. Previously I had a Lacquered Tweed BJ 3. Sold it off but this new version fixed everything I didn’t like. I play primarily blues, some blues-rock, and classic country. This amp fits the bill! IMG_6585.jpg IMG_6586.jpg

3BCC4291-965A-4683-AB05-B028F48BDC0C.jpeg It really is everything I was told it would be. Great tones, a little noisy in the Fat channel but tolerable.
The Reverb is unlike any reverb I’ve had, luscious with a nice boost.
It breaks up nicely at low volume. Just a pleasure to play and I play it all the time.
    It makes scales fun.

What’s the difference on the III vs IV? I like my US green board....actually prefer the darker tone. Reverb is meh but I use a Holy Grail Nano and it gets me by...

Subtle changes to the EQ stack. But definitely a bit more bass. Not so spiky on the high notes.

Better speaker - switched to Celestion A-type

The Reverb is different too. More subdued but I like it.

Aesthetics too: white knobs - a bit easier to see in the dark.

I might have to give one of these a listen...

The older versions were always close, but no cigar for me.

I have heard good reports on the new BJ lV.
Here's a clip with a PRS through the new lV

Foot pedal for FAT channel, more boost with the reverb, fuller bottom end, Celestion speaker replaces the Jensen in the III. Can't get the IV in Tweed, unfortunately.

Knowing Fender I’m sure a Tweed version of some type will follow.

Yeah, I definitely would have preferred Tweed if they had it

I read they finally followed Billm's advice (RIP) and cooled off the bias as well. If Bill were still around he'd have one of these new IV's dissected on the bench now and documented every little change.
