I only had a couple of hours with it today, had to venture out, and do the dreaded grocery shop...... But the time I did have, was spent reorganizing pedals, and a crapton of tweaking.. maybe 20 min of actual playing.
But once I got it, it was amazing, killer reverb
It already had the preamp tube replaced, Volume control has a great taper to it.

Not sure what year it is though, it is made in Mexico. overall perfect working condition. Upon closer look, it is pretty road worn, witch I like, a lot. when I brought it home, and sat it in the living room,
my wife said "Well that's ugly!" I told her it's about whats inside, and what comes out LoL

    Nice, Congratulations.
I have one in black tolex. I had Clark Amplification install an on board attenuator. Makes it really versatile.

Enjoy. it is a sweet amp, albeit a little heavy.

Actually I've been thinking about an attenuator. Fortunately, It won't be moving anywhere, and compared to the amp I traded for it, this thing is like a paper weight

Looks like a great amp. I agree about the roadworn part - gives it character.

Is the volume manageable at household levels?

Like a Super, 4x10 is a great configuration. They are just unusably loud for me. If your wife objects to the size/look, wait until she hears the volume.

Nice amp! And, while it is a loud amp, I've found most higher watt Fenders able to do a pretty sweet clean at low volume. Sure, it isn't the same as clean right before break-up, but it's still sweet!

When I returned to music 20 years ago that's the amp I bought. I returned it in the GC 30 day window though because it was way too loud for what I was doing! But pretty cool...

Love mine. For at home/low volume I by pass the pre-amp stages and plug into the Power Amp In socket using a Joyo American Sound as the pre-amp to control tone and volume. Reasonable sound levels and controllable, sweet sounding.

I tried a 2x12 version, it sounded incredible but I knew it would be too loud, so I went for the Blues deluxe which was great for my needs. I now have an AC15C2 which seems louder! Might go to an AC10 sometime this year, but I'll always have a DeVille on my wishlist

Thanks, and yes, volume is not really a problem, previous owner put a 12AY7 tube in V1, and it changed the taper on the volume control, somehow.... Although it still has a lot of headroom, and is still really loud at 4 on the control. I run it around 2.5, I don't gig, so I don't really need a lot of volume, just tone

I never thought I'd own a tweed amp.... now that I do, I'm obsessed with them, well kind of....
First time I saw a lacquered tweed, it blew my mind... And that was last week!

Thanks! It does an amazing clean.... really nice low end, and nice punchy mids, The reverb in mine is great, it sounds like a high end reverb pedal, super happy with it

A nice coat or two of amber shellac and you'll find a diamond in the rough.
I miss my 4x10 amps ! nothing has "that sound" !
