Finally pulled the trigger on a Custom Champ. Spent a lot of time in my very small studio playing it today and comparing to my other two amps. It really works well when playing along with a track from my monitors. My other higher output amps would wash the monitors out unless there were at pretty low volume.

The Champ sits in there real well at about 4 on the dial. Just at the edge of breakup with some really nice tube amp swirling harmonics at that level.

Congrats! I have had one a couple years and love it. Will sound even better when speaker breaks in- and reasonable to outfit with vintage tubes. My mother left us her 1957 hammond organ upon her passing, and I use a 6v6 out of it in the champ-sounds great and somehow it means something to play through the same tube she made music with.

Don't tear is not it until it has been on for 20 minutes cause it ain't the same amp you turned on. Its better.

Agree after my champs been on for a while it really grinds! That’s a nice sounding amp woollymonster do you know if it has the bypass cap? A capacitor in parallel to a resistor at the far right of the circuit board.
