I've been looking for a nice 'normal' solid-state combo for a while.
I tend to play 'clean' with just a touch of that blues tone. (Don't worry, full-on death metal thrash tones are available to me!)

I went on a search, what did BB King use then?
A nice Gibson and a decent Lab Series solid state amp. Hmmm. I bet he used the compressor control a bit...

Some time with Google and You Tube with headphones led to the DV Mark Little Jazz. Other options (Quilter) were explored but not at that price! I would rather design and build my own amp than pay $1000+. (I have the skills to do it but have better things to do with my time!)

I am happy with my choice, and yes, the balanced output was one of the features I wanted.
My BC Rich Mockingbird does that blues tone through the amp.
My unfinished Warmoth Thinline Tele will need a few changes, it sound boring, no 'spark' to it. The bridge is some cheap no-name device I had in the parts box, the neck humbucker may need changing too.

Plugged one of my basses in and that sounded good! It would need a proper bass speaker to protect the poor little 8" driver fitted if you dared to turn it up!

An Electro Harmonix 'Hot Wax' pedal should arrive in 2 days time to add that extra grit when needed.

Congrats. I am glad you're happy with the new amp.
Any amp that is endorsed by Bireli Lagrene can't be bad. :)

Just FYI, the Quilter Superblock (pedal format amp head) gets pretty favorable reviews by almost all that use / buy it. I just checked Thomann and they are listed as $269 (here in the US, in $USD).
I hope you didn't miss out on that one (maybe pick one up later ???)

I've heard the DV Mark is a pretty good sounding and versatile beast. That amp has ext speaker out, so you can always get a second cab for bass and bypass the onboard speaker -- easy, sneezy, no problem.

    Enjoy!

Never tried one myself, but these amps get a lot of respect over at Jazz Guitar Online.

Sweet! HNAD! I have the DV Mark Micro 60 Jazz head, a Jazz 0208 cab and a neoclassic 1x12 cab. My Jazz head does clean and clean w/reverb, like your combo. The DV Mark stuff is outstanding. (It also seems to be the amp best suited for use with my Zoom G1x Four).

@PC_Hater need I remind you of the oft-quoted TDPRI dictum, "Pics, or it didn't happen"?

Heard good things about these, considered it as an option when I instead went for Quilter. I got my Quilter 101 for $225 and it's awesome.

    Let's see some pics, man!

    Congrats!

Eric Gale plays a DV Mark, I'm sure more of the rock type though.
As I recall they're made in Italy, like the Jensen speakers!

DV Mark are fabulous amps. I honestly don’t see how anyone could play one and still buy a Quilter. To my ears they’re just not in the same league. Congrats!

I play them both for about an hour each, every single day. Slight edge Quilter, IMO, so mileages do vary:).

Congrats on the Little Jazz. I had one of those, two different times - great amp for the price and it hits way above its size.

They also make one called the Markbass MicroMark. Basically same sized amp as the little jazz, but specifically for bass. It is equally stout.

@Jakedog I never hear "DV Mark" anymore without thinking of you. Are you still gigging the Frank Gambale combo?

I have it. It’s not going anywhere. I take it out when I need a lot of power. At 120 watts, it’s a great outdoor or large room amp. It’s great at all stuff as well, but I’ve been having fun with my Origin 20 in smaller rooms.

The DV Mark Little Jazz is designed in Italy made in Indonesia.
I suppose I should dig out my iPhone and take a few pics.
