Well, someone with a '61 Bandmaster doesn't have a nice matching cabinet with original Oxfords.
Sinceyou say those are in a blonde cab from 1961, one might surmise that those date codes match such a cab…18th and 34th week of 1961

Seems so. I don’t know much about the old Oxfords but I haven’t heard too many people say nice things. Maybe all that hubbub is about the post-66 models. I really like the way these two sound.
Ime, 1966 Oxfords were on a par with the contemporary Jensens.
IF one wants to tame a higher output amp, then low efficiency speakers are the way to do it. I have done that by using low efficiency 12T6 Oxfords in a Twin Reverb. You could push it without blowing windows out.
And…as I noted…the 10” Oxfords never got that low efficiency treatment.
