The 22 fret overhang plus the logo and stamps being under the satin finish bodes well for it being something legit... what tho I haven't a clue at the mo.

I paid $695.95 for that exact Custom Shop neck some 3 years ago, very very rare and hard to find, really hard to find in a lefty neck for sure!!
I feel like I stole it for that price and wish I had a few more!! You should have left that CS sticker alone, you just sanded off about $500.00 doing that my Brother?!?! Honestly, I have no idea what you got there, but that had your hair standing up for a second:);)

"There's also remnants of a used stamp on the tip of the rear of headstock".

??? Is this visible in the pics?

It feels and looks nice, I can just see a faded outline on the rear where a serial number must have been. Really hard to see anything there. Just a slight difference in reflection of light.

I don't think the whole neck has been refinished, just the headstock and heel must have been done because sanding with 400 took ages to remove the custom shop decal and I gave up worrying about the leftovers of the used stamp..

You can see it in the first pics, hard to see but its stamped used in white letters. It's mostly gone.

Perhaps look at some modern strat necks on eBay or Reverb that have a similar plug and dark skunk stripe and see whether that shines some light on things...

I thought all modern fender necks had a newer logo but maybe they just changed the decal on a standard mim or something?
I cant see a decal change on the front but the back has def been messed with.
I don't think ive ever seen a satin neck with the older logo though.

    Yarp!

I've always thought a Fisher-Price logo would look great on a fender headstock, and would give the 'purists' conniptions...:D

Hmm that used stamp is puzzling I don’t know if that’s a second or refurbishing mark

I've got a Epiphone 56 goldtop I bought as condition 2 used from musicians friend and its stamped with 2nd on the headstock. Nothing wrong with it. Maybe it was just on a guitar that failed quality control for some reason?
Closest I could just find was a mighty might neck that looked similar but then there would be no need to sand a serial number off the back or stamp it used..

I thought for sure it was probably squier but if it's not squier or a mim with logo change maybe it's Fender Japan? If someone owns a neck the same they will recognise the skunk strip at the heel etc.

Lions & Tigers oh Mi !
    .

The plastic plug looks like older MIM or newer Indonesia. The tuners and tuner peg holes look more MIM. The two string trees look like old MIM (90s).

Only the Custom Shop stamp is weird. The Used mark could have been stamped by a pawn shop/etc.

Could be one of those Vintage Modified/Classic Player type of Squier/Fender models made in China or Indonesia.

I got it in around 2013-2014 and I don't think its very old, zero fret wear and it looked new when it was first given to me. The back is very slick and feels nice so I wont be messing with that. Its got me stumped as to what it is.

I found a mim Fender neck on a 2011 standard strat that looks a lot like this neck. It was a 21 fret neck though so i'm not 100% sure but it looked the same minus the decal change from modern to older style. It was satin too and the dates kind of match up with how old I think this neck is.
I've done a quick tint on it by mixing tru oil with a few drops of amber stain and forked out for some Kluson conversion bushings to fit some vintage split shaft tuners I had in my parts box. I still need to clean the frets up. It's going on a guitar that will relic fast, I think i went a bit too dark with the mix but it should look ok once fitted. I didn't touch the back of neck because its silky smooth as is.
