Saw this one before. It is hilarious.
My boss (female) always says that only women can multitask. I am not sure about that, but she is really bad at multitasking
I've multi-tasked for decades, and I have attained the mediocrity to prove it!
We can always watch a game and drink a beer.
In my experience, NOBODY can do it as well as they think they can.
Unless I've fallen behind on this, apparently no one can multi task. We all do some kind of rapid switching / shifting of attention, but we can only pay attention to one thing at a time. Multi tasking is, as I understand it, an illusion.
That doesn't negate the possibility that one group does it more efficiently, I guess. Although, I have a feeling the results were that it's the same across genders?
Anyway, the research grew out of a psychology conference where a bunch of university teachers from all around the world were having after hours drinkies and one of them complained about students who claimed to be able to multi task when taken to task over using their phones during lectures. All the others shared similar stories. One teacher asked exactly what the research showed about this anyway. Turned out, there really was none and multi tasking was just assumed to be real. Thus, an international research project was born.
this started in my house hold when my wife sent me on an errend because only she could multitask around the house , so I stayed home to watch this magnificent feat of female activity in action .....I'm still waiting for it to happen
I saw a study about this a while ago and the results were that men and women were about equal at it.
Women are just more likely to try to do it, for some reason...
I'm cooking chicken soup, watching the tv news, reading posts on here..and typing a post...
how many tasks is a multi?....
I can walk and chew gum, does that count?
I think she means that she lacks the ability to prioritize...
My wife says I can talk and tick her off at the same time...is that multi-tasking?
is singing and playing guitar at the same time or playing drums not multitasking?
I can NOT play guitar and talk at the same time. How can people do that?
Another instance of proof for multi-tasking. JS makes a joke about it in this video too.
Much has been written about multi-tasking but to really get results you need to focus and get the job done.
I can multi-ta....oooo, ssshhhiiiinnnyyyy.
I can read and sh*t at the same time.
The rapid role shifting demand def. falls on women harder, esp. with kids, work and a husband all wanting a bit of them.
They probably just complain less than guys.
I can sing, play, and check out the crowd all at the same time.
Your wife said no such thing
