..And they want me to date their roadie. I can't even wear cargo shorts in front of him without receiving unwanted attention. I feel like an object.
    What would you guys do?

I recently had an offer to play bongos in a hippy band. They'd respect me - won't they?

I'm 70 and I spent a few days in 1969 (just before Woodstock) hanging out around Washington Square in Greenwich Village in NYC. Bongos were definitely cool.

I saw Ian Gilman fronting for Black Sabbath at the 1983 Reading Rock Festival.

F%cking bongo drums were definitely NOT cool.

Make your girlfriend wear this cargo pocket skirt. It should give you just enough of a diversion until they realize that they are not cargo shorts, to make an escape.

It sounds like this will probably lead to a jam session.

Cargo skirt? Surely you mean cargo kilt, unless you spell it Kargo Kilt like it's as-seen-on-TV merchendise.
