Man you're 50 years too late. Maybe in the disco/pimp era.

 

That has Bootsy Collins written all over it......

 

You know what would put that hat right over the top? Some tubes, heater grids a-glowin.

Extra points if the tubes are part of a distortion circuit: the Valve Crunch Stetson (tm).

OR, fifty years too early. But as my wife tells me, a little too often, ‘it’s not about being ahead of your time it’s about being OF your time’. Be that as it may, the more I look at John’s hat the more it reminds me of an alien space ship. Except with curb feelers. Which, if they’re smart aliens, they’ll incorporate into their next years model.
