I finally finished my guitar upgrade & mod project and crafted this diamond in the rough budget guitar into my own priceless rock n' roll instrument now worthy of the music I like playing through it! šŸ–¤šŸŽµšŸŽ¶

Had to mod the pickup openings 1mm all around. My Tonerider Birmingham pickups seemed a little too tight to fit the slightly undersized bridge plate and pickguard holes.

Thanks! Not sure if I'll give it a nickname LOL.

I really love the Tonerider Birmingham pickups. The neck is 5% underwound at 7.2k and the bridge is 5% overwound at 8.7k for two distinct sounds. I elected not to do coil-splitting at this time but that's said to sound very balanced.

Looks good. I've had a bunch of HB guitars and have 2 a the moment. I visited Thomann last month and had picked the Tele to ship home. I love it but I get tired quickly of natural finishes for some reason. Considering buying a different body for it, although I love the weight of this as it's on the heavy side. Cannot stand lightweight guitars.

I just ordered another Bourns audio taper pot to replace the linear taper tone control which doesn't work right, my bad on that. The stock import mini pots did have audio taper for the tone control and I somehow got it backwards, LOL. I also added some black nuts and washers on the same order to replace the chrome nuts/washers.
