Given the recent musings about "boutique amps" I thought I'd show and tell.

I've been playing Goodsell amps 10 years and I've settled on these three. The gold Super 17 is my main gig amp, loud and full bodied, I love it. Perfect grit all the time w/ master and volume controls, no overdrive pedal is needed or wanted. The 6550 is a smaller room amp although is still pretty loud, 17-19watts, it's clean, very hifi sounding. It's the tele of amps. If you don't put something into it, you get nothing. Let's you know right away if you're sloppy. And the Fawn V6, just lush. When i want scooped mids and chime, this is the amp. Beautiful sounding (the deluxe $ender wishes they could build). I record a lot w/ this amp.

L-R Goodsell V6 MkIV w/ WGS alnico 12 in Fawn, a Goodsell 6550 (princeton platform) 2x8 (one alnico one ceramic WGS) in Lacquered Tweed and bottom, Goodsell Super 17 MkIV in Gold Sparkle. (and a sTalkovich t90 koa/mahogany).

Can’t afford a boutique amp so I had to make my own, left tweedy vibrochamp(vibrochamp with a tweed tone control and switchable grit or cathode bypass cap) and a master volume. middle, my new LP Special with a pair of Lollar P-90’s. Right, my newly built Brown (yet to be covered)Princeton 6G2...They each have built in attenuators that work great to bring the amp down to about 1/4 (much lower than that you lose a bit of sparkle) volume...Bliss!!!

Any idea how many of the early era amps were made? Mine is #146, which seems high given that these don't pop up very often. I think I remember reading on the site that Richard made a rack version for Billy G. that was #144.
