Here are some photos of my Australian version of a Tele.
It's a Maton MS T-Byrd. Made from Australian wood with a Lollar Special T Bridge pickup and a Lollar Charlie Christian in the neck position. My absolute favourite guitar.

As a fellow Aussie I may be biased, but that's a great looking guitar!

How do you find the Christian as far as balance with the bridge pickup? And overall sound?

I reckon the pickups are really well balanced and certainly complement each other. When through an amp they both are both very clear. Drive them hard and they scream. Just love them.
There is a lot of resonance in that neck and body even played unplugged.
I recently bought a Squier CV 70s Thinline Tele and while a nice guitar it sounds dull compared to the Maton.

    Cool!
Speaking of cool, I once owned a Maton Coolibah acoustic.
    It too was cool!

Nice looking instrument. I've long been familiar with their acoustics, but that might be the first Maton electric guitar I've seen.
